Now my own conclusions, I have experimented with similar things many times in different modules of my site, news, blog, forum, bulletin board. And I will say frankly that the date is absolutely necessary, moreover, if your site management system allows you to change the publication time, in this case it has a very good effect on search results. For example, you wrote an article a couple of years ago, and then decided to rewrite it, you don't like it. So after the change, it would be right to set a new date, if possible. And Google will treat this wonderfully. It is also useful when the date is displayed in the publication link. But you need to remember the correct time format, an example from the micro markup 08/03/2025T4:16 AM-05:00, as we see the year, month, date, time zone.

Moreover, in the micro markup you can do it automatically, the publication date and the date of its update. This also works if you have a video module. In a word, do not be afraid to display the publication time, it works very well, and most importantly, it has weight for searching.
