Now my own conclusions, I have experimented with similar things many times in different modules of my site, news, blog, forum, bulletin board. And I will say frankly that the date is absolutely necessary, moreover, if your site management system allows you to change the publication time, in this case it has a very good effect on search results. For example, you wrote an article a couple of years ago, and then decided to rewrite it, you don't like it. So after the change, it would be right to set a new date, if possible. And Google will treat this wonderfully. It is also useful when the date is displayed in the publication link.
